Pennsylvania School Children Earn Money For IOCC

As their 2006 Lenten project, the Church school children from St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Steelton, PA collected money by hosting a luncheon. All of the students, Preschool through Grade 12, participated by preparing the hall, the food, serving the lunch and cleaning up afterward! The young junior choir led the Lord's Prayer with the blessing of Fr. Srboljub Jockovich.

In addition to raising the money at the luncheon, the students placed jars in each of the classrooms to collect additional money. Initially the goal for the students was to raise $500. They far exceeded that goal and opted to raise it to $1000. With all their hard work they exceeded that goal as well and raised over $1600!

These children gave their hearts as they raised money to assist the children in Kosovo to rebuild homes and lives.
