IOCC Metropolitan Committees are groups of volunteers that support the humanitarian mission of IOCC through awareness- and fund-raising activities throughout the year. Metropolitan Committees are active in many major metropolitan areas of the United States.

Metropolitan Committees play a key role in advancing the work of IOCC through pan-Orthodox banquets, concerts, sporting events and lectures. They also help raise awareness of IOCC among Orthodox Christians and the general public through media events and other forms of publicity.

Some Metropolitan Committees have been in existence since IOCC was founded (1992), while others have begun more recently. All of them provide a way that people committed to IOCC can volunteer and make a difference in the lives of people in need.

Metropolitan Committees bring together Orthodox Christians of all ethnic and jurisdictional backgrounds in support of a common cause – responding to the call of Christ to minister to people in need wherever they are.
