IOCC Assists Victims of South Carolina Floods

Baltimore, MD (October 16, 2015) — Piles of water damaged furniture and personal belongings fill the neighborhoods of Columbia, South Carolina. Record floods earlier this month claimed 19 lives and left a trail of damage across the state. International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) Emergency Response Network, along with local relief partners and parishioners from Holy Apostles and Holy Trinity Orthodox Churches are rallying together to help residents in hard hit Columbia with the slow and difficult cleanup and recovery. IOCC US Country Representative, Dan Christopulos, updates OCN in a radio interview on the situation and urgent needs. Oca.org also posts this report on the latest relief efforts by the Orthodox community.
