Podoconiosis, or “podo” for short, is a debilitating but preventable foot condition that affects millions of Ethiopians and threatens the health of millions more. People with podo often face social stigma and isolation, and they experience swelling that makes walking and playing extremely painful. Adults living with podo can’t work or care for their families. Your symbolic gift of $100 can help train 4 individuals as community leaders who in turn teach others how to prevent and treat podo.
