IOCC Emergency Update: Hurricanes Helene and Milton

IOCC is on the ground and working with people to remove household debris, tree branches, garbage, and other water-logged items after the severe storm damage.

Recovery and Rebuilding Support

Last week, our Action Team leaders and volunteers were in Pulaski, VA, cleaning up and mucking out homes devastated by flooding. This week our teams have deployed to Unicoi County in Tennessee, and Pine Island in Florida, to conduct assessments and begin additional clean-up operations.

Emotional and Spiritual Care Support

Another essential part of the response is offering emotional and spiritual care to people suffering from the burden of a catastrophic event. Our trained Frontliners just completed an assignment at the Red Cross Shelter in Asheville, NC, and are now deploying to Tennessee and Florida to meet community needs.

IOCC is committed to the long-term recovery of all those affected by the recent hurricanes, as they strive to rebuild their lives and regain hope for the future.

Help us meet our $1M goal to help our neighbors in need here in the US.
