IOCC’s Updated Response to Florence

Hurricane Florence is gone, but the work of response and recovery is just beginning.

IOCC is on the ground in North Carolina:

IOCC Frontliners have deployed to a Red Cross shelter in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where they’re providing emotional and spiritual care to residents and emergency workers.
An IOCC emergency response vehicle has arrived in Wilmington, where the parish of St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church will serve as a base for emergency action teams in the coming days.
Trained team leaders will conduct rapid needs assessments and guide volunteers as they do muck outs, clearing water-damaged homes of sludge and removing debris for Wilmington residents.

A gift to IOCC’s Hurricane Response Fund helps address immediate needs following a hurricane and supports long-term recovery efforts.
