IOCC Mourns the Passing of Fr. Antonio Perdomo

April 3, 2021

All of us at IOCC were deeply grieved to learn of the falling asleep in the Lord of our friend and Frontliner Archpriest Antonio Perdomo of Pharr Texas.

Fr. Antonio, a clergyman of the Orthodox Church in America, trained as an IOCC Frontliner and deployed in that role after multiple disasters across the United States and Caribbean, providing emotional and spiritual care to survivors. He offered this ministry of presence following an earthquake in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico in 2020; after the devastating 2010 quake in Haiti; and in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina (2005). Fr. Antonio was also part of the specially convened Frontliners group that created IOCC’s Care Calls program in response to COVID-19.

We fondly remember Fr. Antonio’s sparkling smile and thank God for his commitment to serving Christ by serving others. We pray for the repose of his soul.

May his memory be eternal!
