Through your generosity in 2024, IOCC responded quickly to meet the needs of people worldwide. Together, we brought relief after hurricane devastation in Tennessee and Florida, provided emergency aid and medicine to the Holy Land, and ensured safe accommodation to displaced Ukrainians.
IOCC also improved nutrition in Lebanon amidst the ongoing socioeconomic crisis, provided clean water and critical supplies to Syrian refugees, and continued investing in small businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These are just a few of the critical needs your donations meet.
IOCC Souper Bowl Sunday – There’s Still Time!
The Super Bowl is around the corner on February 9, and with the big game comes a big chance to help people in need! You can help both locally and internationally: organize a food drive in your parish to donate nonperishable goods to a local charity and collect funds for IOCC to help those around the world. Looking for Lenten Recipes
Calling all chefs! We’re compiling Lenten resources, and we need your help! If you have any delicious, fast-friendly recipes from around the world (or right here in the US), please submit them to outreach@iocc.org. We may share your recipe and name as part of IOCC’s Lenten recipe series in 2025.
Ethiopia: A Nun Receives Podo Relief
Emahoy, a 62-year-old woman from Ethiopia, lives and serves her church community as a nun. To support herself, she leases a plot of agricultural land which she owns. She suffered from podoconiosis, a painful condition causing swollen feet and regular fevers for nearly 30 years. She learned about IOCC’s health program and received treatment at a nearby health center. Read more about Emahoy’s story here.

Scottsdale, AZ
As part of their annual service project, students at the Arizona Agribusiness & Equine Center (AAEC) have created a fundraiser to support communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. They are planning an auction for February and have reached out to local small businesses in the hope that they will contribute. A special shoutout to Nolan Bjella for organizing and taking the lead on this fundraiser.
Volunteers Needed in Tennessee
This fall, Hurricanes Helene and Milton brought unprecedented damage to many areas of the southeastern United States. IOCC’s US Action Teams acted quickly to assess the damage and to deploy teams to severely damaged communities. Shortly after the storms, IOCC announced a $1 million fundraising goal, which was achieved in just over seven weeks! With this tremendous support from IOCC’s generous donors, we are offering cleanup, repair, and emotional & spiritual care to hurricane survivors throughout the region.
Help us continue to get survivors safely back into their homes by volunteering to rebuild in Eastern Tennessee. Volunteers are welcome to help for a day, a week, or longer!
