US: Frontliners Deploy to Tornado-Hit Areas

April 20, 2023

This Frontliner visits with a survivor of flooding in Kentucky last year. IOCC Frontliners, who provide emotional and spiritual care in early days after disasters, have now deployed to serve in tornado-affected communities in Mississippi.

Following destructive, fatal tornadoes across the southern and central US, a team of IOCC Frontliners has deployed to Mississippi to provide emotional and spiritual care to affected communities. This ministry is an early step in IOCC’s disaster response and recovery assistance in the US.

IOCC is coordinating with partners through the VOAD network (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, national and state coalitions), and we’re in touch with our partners in affected regions assessing potential further response. Please pray with us for everyone whose lives these storms have disrupted.
