- Over $1.3 million in small-business loans have helped strengthen local economies in Bosnia-Herzegovina
- At least 86,000 people in Ethiopia received training in preventing podoconiosis
- Dry-food parcels in Greece were distributed to 2,000 families each month, totaling 55,000 pounds of food each month
- In Jordan, at least 3,100 refugees and vulnerable Jordanians received winterization assistance to help them get through the winter
- More than 600 women in Syria received vocational training and start-up grants to help them provide for their families
Help Us Plan Ahead by Scheduling Your 2019 Event
Lent is a great time to think about scheduling a fast-friendly reception or presentation to capture the spirit of almsgiving. We’d love to send a speaker to your parish or event—please let us know what you’re planning, so we can make travel arrangements well ahead of time. And don’t be afraid to get creative! Represent Team IOCC at Your City’s Local 5k!
Check to see if your city will have an annual walk, run, or marathon this year, and consider leading a team for IOCC. Register and publicize your event early to recruit athletes to join your team and your cause. Check out a sample page here, and contact outreach@iocc.org to get a team started in your city!
Dedicate Your Birthday and Transform Lives
Are you looking for a powerful way to give? IOCC has a way to fundraise that uses your passion to help those in need. Our DIY (do-it-yourself) fundraising platform allows you to create a personal page and collect donations to improve the lives of women, children, men, and families facing man-made and natural disasters around the world. Souper Bowl of Caring
The big game is right around the corner! Even if you aren’t organizing a food drive in your parish, consider downloading printable materials here to display. And consider collecting some last-minute donations for IOCC to help those in need around the world.
Help Families Rebuild: Volunteers Needed
Want to start your year strong by serving others? Volunteer to repair and rebuild homes in places hit by disaster. You don’t need to be skilled—just energetic. Current opportunities include:
