Deploying to Help Tornado Survivors

December 14, 2021

Amid the terrible destruction and loss caused by last week’s tornadoes, IOCC is deploying Frontliners to Kentucky to offer emotional and spiritual care.

Caring for the Whole Person

In the wake of last week’s devastating tornadoes, IOCC is working with partners and Orthodox parishes to meet immediate needs—including emotional and spiritual needs.

As our US neighbors take the first steps toward recovery after this tragic disaster, IOCC is deploying Frontliners to provide emotional and spiritual care in some of the worst-affected parts of Kentucky. These highly skilled professionals are trained to connect with and support survivors of tragic events like this.

What your support makes possible:

  • An IOCC Frontliner team deploys on December 15, 2021.
  • Frontliners provide emotional and spiritual care to people affected by the disasters, and to those serving them.
  • Our US team is working with partners on needs assessments for longer-term assistance.

There’s so much work to do, and you can be part of it. Please pray for our Frontliners and for every person they’ll serve during this deployment.

PS – Thanks to you, IOCC can respond quickly and effectively when disaster strikes. Your gift to the US Emergency Response Fund helps make this happen. Please give what you can to help our US neighbors this Christmas.
