An Outpouring of Compassion
Since the earthquakes struck Syria and Turkey last week, you have responded (from all over the world) with tremendous compassion and concern for all those affected. Thank you for your prayers and for your gifts. Because of you, we have surpassed our $250,000 goal, and your help could not have come at a better time.
Yesterday, IOCC’s team heard from an earthquake survivor in Syria: “I am desperate; I don’t know what to do.” IOCC is meeting the immediate needs of survivors like this one. Winter clothes and bedding, along with food and water, are among the basics we’re providing as people face overwhelming loss.
The challenge is tremendous. Along with our partners, as IOCC always does, we are focused on getting essentials to people in the short term. As the situation develops, we’ll be seeking ways to address new needs as they emerge.
People still need your help.
Please continue praying for everyone affected by this horrific tragedy, as well as for those on the ground serving them.
Please give as you can to IOCC’s International Emergency Response Fund and share our work with others. Together we can reach those most in need in the spirit of Christ’s love.
