Living conditions in Gaza are difficult, especially when it comes to accessing basic services like healthcare and education.
To help combat this and improve children’s health, IOCC community health workers provide health screenings to kindergartners throughout Gaza.
Thanks to his complete health screening, 5-year-old Ahmed’s* severe vision problem did not go undiagnosed like many health issues in that area.
“I don’t have words to express my thankfulness for the IOCC team, partners, and donors for saving my child’s life,” said Ahmed’s mom. It’s only because of this diagnosis that Ahmed’s mother was able to seek help and get him the treatment he needed.
