Today, in honor of World Water Day, we’d like to introduce you to Siham. She lives in a tented settlement near the village of Terbol, Lebanon, with her husband and 8 children. For a long time, the only water safe for cooking and drinking was difficult to access. Siham regularly walked a half-mile and carried home 3 gallons at a time.
With your support, IOCC installed a solar-powered system to run a water pump, providing water to the entire village. Your support also allowed us to rehab 2 reservoirs and build water lines to them.
“Now we have clean, potable water which is always available,” said Siham. “My children can shower more often, and I no longer have to walk long distances every day.” She added, “[We] thank God for this blessing, as water is the source of life.”
