Will You Call Someone Today?

Christ is Risen!

Everything we do at International Orthodox Christian Charities is about sharing the unconditional love of Christ with those in need. Thanks to your support, we have developed tailored assistance programs to meet the needs of those we serve with respect and dignity for over 28 years.

The devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic affects us all, but it affects all of us differently.  We are all in the same storm but not in the same boat. There is great need. And, as you know, needs range from the material to the spiritual.

So, we engaged a group of experts from different disciplines to create a series of tools that will help meet the vast array of needs. The first tool we created is “IOCC Care Calls.”

The Care Calls tool is as simple as it is effective. Will you join me in using it today?

With a series of easy, quick prompts, anyone can call someone else to check in. The result? Self-care, connection, and resilience. This is the kind of interaction we need right now. Using our tool will make all of us more present, stronger, and connected. Social distancing does not mean we should be distant.

As y’all know, I am not a theologian. Or a scholar. I am a just field guy in a suit.  I do know this: we are all part of the Body of Christ. We are bonded by faith and love. Together, we will weather this storm.

Will you Care Call someone today?
